The Shelby Art Guild Association (SAGA) invites everyone to get involved.

SAGA promotes the arts through educational class offerings and frequent art fairs and gatherings  where local artists can display their works, often created on the spot.

SAGA operates The Gallery on the Square, where we display the work of local artists.

The Gallery is located at 5 Public Square, Shelbyville, Indiana on the northwest quadrant.

The Gallery was created by SAGA for cultural outreach in Shelby County and the surrounding communities. It is a place where artists of all styles and media can come together, share ideas and display their unique works of art.

Membership – Annual SAGA dues are $18.00. The membership year is October 1st through September 30th. Dues will be pro-rated for memberships that begin after November 1st.

Meetings – SAGA has monthly meetings the first Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm. Meetings are held in the basement of the Grover Museum.  Please use the alley entrance.

Volunteers welcomed – We would love to keep The Gallery open more hours, but volunteers are needed in order to do that.  We would like your ideas on volunteering and how to best use our resources.

Classes – Many of our artists offer classes in painting, glass etching, jewelry, pottery throwing, stained glass, drawing, fabric painting, glass painting and more. If you are interested in either attending or teaching a class, contact SAGA President Kathy Neeb at  (317) 604-8829.

Come visit anytime! Visit us at either a meeting or in The Gallery on the Square. It’s a wonderful way to meet new people and get involved in your community. We are always looking for new artists and art lovers with fresh ideas and an eagerness to stretch their imaginations
